A groundbreaking Rotorua-based company turning organic waste into valuableresources is a step closer to taking its technology global after the companyand its commercial partners secured NZ$23 million industry co-investment througha water innovation programme in the United Kingdom.Cetogenix utilises hydrothermal oxidation technology to turn complex organicwaste — including wastewater sludge — into renewable natural gas and greenammonia, while reducing emissions and eliminating harmful contaminants.
